RoadEQ Privacy Policy

RoadEQ does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. Audio, location, vehicle, and equalizer information is processed on your device only.

Information RoadEQ processes

RoadEQ processes the following information only to provide its cabin-noise analysis and equalizer recommendations:

• Microphone audio: While you explicitly arm a measurement session, RoadEQ analyzes cabin sound in temporary memory. Raw audio is not recorded, saved, or transmitted and is discarded when analysis ends, is cancelled, is interrupted, or expires.
• Location: During an armed session, RoadEQ uses location updates to derive speed and measurement stability. Coordinates are immediately discarded and are not stored or transmitted.
• On-device settings and results: Frequency summaries, rounded speed statistics, vehicle and equalizer settings, recommendations, and optional feedback may be saved locally on your device so the app can function.

Data collection and sharing

SoftwareByEugene LLC does not receive data from RoadEQ. The app has no account system, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, crash-reporting SDK, or developer-operated network service. It does not track you across apps or websites.

Data retention and control

Raw microphone audio and coordinates are not retained. Other RoadEQ information remains on your device until you remove it in the app, delete the app, or erase the device. You control microphone and location access in iOS Settings and can revoke either permission at any time.

Apple services

Apple distributes RoadEQ and may process App Store transactions, diagnostics, or other platform information under Apple's own policies. RoadEQ does not receive your payment-card information. See the Apple Privacy Policy for details.

Children's privacy

RoadEQ does not knowingly collect personal information from children or adults.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if RoadEQ's features or legal requirements change. Any revision will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
