At SoftwareByEugene LLC, your privacy is our priority. Clever Contacts is designed with your data protection in mind. We don’t collect your personal information, and everything the app does—like understanding what you say and updating your contacts—happens right on your device.

What Data We Collect

We don’t collect, store, or share your personal data.
All processing is done locally on your device. Nothing leaves your phone.

Gmail Access (Optional Feature)

If you choose to let Clever Contacts help organize relationships using your Gmail, here’s how it works:

• We access only email headers, specifically the "To" and "CC" fields, to extract email addresses.
• We do not access, read, or store email content.
• Gmail data is never sent to servers or shared with anyone.
• This feature exists solely to help you manage contact relationships more easily.

We fully comply with Google’s API policies and do not use Gmail data to train AI or machine learning models.

Local-Only Data Use

All data stays on your device. Even sensitive data like email addresses is stored securely in app-private storage and encrypted to protect against unauthorized access. No other apps or systems can access this information.

Permissions

Clever Contacts may request access to:

• Your Contacts (to update them)
• Gmail (only if you enable the Gmail relationship feature)

These permissions are used only for their core functions and never for anything else.

Security

Everything happens on your device—no cloud processing, no data sync, no tracking. Local encryption and secure storage keep your information safe.

Policy Updates

We may occasionally update this policy if the app changes or if the law requires it. If there’s a significant update, we’ll let you know as part of the app update.
